Sweet Art 268: Antigua and Barbuda’s Baking All-Stars Gear Up for Caribbean Baking Awards

The Sweet Art 268 team representing Antigua and Barbuda at the 2025 Caribbean Baking Awards (CBA), is ready to bring their A-game, on February 21st and 22nd at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
With a roster of talented bakers—including Chef Timoy Titus, a third-place finisher from last year’s competition, Chef Lana William, Nadine Anthony, and Destinee Abbott—this team is all about combining skill, artistry, and precision.
Chef Titus’s passion for baking continues to impress, while Chef William’s creativity and culinary knowledge elevate the team’s desserts to new heights. Nadine Anthony, a seasoned cake decorator and florist, adds her delicate artistry to each creation, making sure they’re just as beautiful as they are tasty. Rounding out the team, Destinee Abbott, a librarian, brings a meticulous approach to organisation and detail, ensuring every dish is perfectly executed.
This year’s competition has grown significantly, with over 70 nominees from 18 Caribbean islands, including Sweet Art 268. As the event draws closer, excitement is building for a weekend of exceptional culinary talent, cultural exchange, and the celebration of the diverse baking traditions that make the Caribbean a true culinary powerhouse.

Ronald Estephane of Fruit Boss to Represent St. Lucia at Caribbean Baking Awards

St. Lucian pastry chef Ronald Estephane, the head of Fruit Boss, will participate in the upcoming Caribbean Baking Awards.
Estephane, known for his fruit carvings and pastry designs, previously won the title of Pastry Chef of the Year at the 2024 Caribbean Baking Awards. His work focuses on transforming fruit into edible art, earning recognition within the Caribbean culinary industry.
The event is scheduled for February 21-22, at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, bringing together bakers and pastry chefs from across the region.
This year’s competition will feature participants competing under the theme “Rum Fun.” The event will also include the “Ultimate Bake-Off: Celebrity Grudge Match – BVI Artists Edition,” where local musicians Boss, Jugo and Brent Hoyte will compete in a baking challenge.
The Caribbean Baking Awards continues to recognize professionals in the region’s culinary industry, highlighting innovation and craftsmanship in baking and pastry arts.

When the final award is handed out and the ovens cool down at the Caribbean Baking Awards on February 22, the real heat will kick in—this time on the dance floor. Onyan and the 3 Cylinder Band, one of the Caribbean’s most electrifying soca groups, will take the stage for the official after-party, bringing their signature high-energy performance to close out the night in style. With their pulsating rhythms and infectious melodies, the Antigua-based band promises a celebration as flavorful as the Caribbean’s finest desserts.
Fronted by the dynamic Toriano “Onyan” Edwards, a well-know figure in the Caribbean music scene, the band has its roots in the legendary group Burning Flames. Onyan’s journey with Burning Flames established him as a powerhouse in soca music, and his subsequent formation of the 3 Cylinder Band has continued that legacy, delivering pulsating beats that resonate with audiences worldwide.
The 3 Cylinder Band is celebrated for its synthesiser-driven soca, blending traditional Caribbean sounds with contemporary musical elements. Their performances are characterised by high energy and a fusion of multiple influences, creating a unique sound that has garnered a dedicated following.
The band’s lineup features seasoned musicians, including David “Krokuss” Edwards and George “M16” Mussington, and Teera Charleseach bringing their distinct flair to the ensemble.
