The Rotary Club of Tortola officially installed Violet Gaul as President for the 2025–2026 Rotary year during a ceremony held at the Sugar Mill Hotel on Saturday evening. The event was attended by Rotarians, local dignitaries, and community members.
Gaul succeeds Immediate Past President Abby, who was recognized for her leadership over the previous year. In her remarks, Gaul expressed appreciation for the opportunity to lead the club and acknowledged the accomplishments of her predecessor.
“We are honored to receive this leadership position,” Gaul said. “We also extend heartfelt congratulations to Immediate Past President Abby and her Board for the excellent job they did during the past year. Their dedication and accomplishments have laid a strong foundation for us to build upon.”
The ceremony also included the installation of the incoming Board of Directors and the presentation of Paul Harris Fellow recognitions to four individuals. The award, named in honor of Rotary International’s founder, is given to those who demonstrate exceptional service and commitment to their community.
“This year, we will build on the impactful projects of the past year and seek to unite for good in new areas,” Gaul said, highlighting her administration’s focus on continued community engagement. “Especially through strengthened partnerships with our fellow Rotary Clubs across the territory.”
The new leadership takes office as the Rotary Club of Tortola begins its 2025–2026 service year, reaffirming its commitment to Rotary’s global mission of “Service Above Self.”
