Dwynel D. Davis won the fourth edition of the Virgin Islands Adult Spell-Off on Aug. 30, 2025, at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.
Davis received the Spell-Off trophy, a gold medallion, a participation certificate, $1,500 in cash, a Cape Air round trip for two, a Driftwood Spa certificate valued at $200 and wall art from Khaptured Photography.
Second place went to Carolyn E. Stoutt-Igwe, who won a silver medallion, a participation certificate, $800 in cash, a two-night stay for two at Leverick Bay, a 50-inch television from SNS Shipping and a Trefle gift certificate valued at $150.
Kishma V. S. Penn placed third, earning a bronze medallion, a participation certificate, $500 in cash, a FlyBVI round trip to Anegada for four, a Virgin Canopy Tour for four and a Delish Desserts gift certificate.
Eusa Adams, who joined the competition shortly before it began to replace Cindy Rosan, tied with Aaron Parillon for fourth place. Both received a $150 gift certificate from RiteWay and One Mart.
Organizers said that proceeds from the event will be donated to the Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies. Since its inception, the competition has raised more than $10,000 to support schools in the territory.
The fifth annual Spell-Off is scheduled for Aug. 22, 2026.
