BVI Music Group, in partnership with Frontline Systems, will host a local talent search titled the BVI Music Showcase on Nov. 1–2, at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium. The event offers young performers a chance to win a recording contract with award-winning producer Warren G, along with a BVI spotlight and cash prizes.
The competition is open to participants ages 16 to 30, with categories including rap, hip-hop, R&B and other genres. Both soloists and group acts are eligible to apply. Contestants are required to submit two songs, with a combined maximum performance time of five minutes. A registration fee of $40 applies.
Registration closes Sept. 30, at 8 p.m. Interested participants can sign up and request additional information by contacting bvienttour@gmail.com.
Organizers said the event will feature live performances, highlight BVI culture and provide networking opportunities for emerging artists.
