Virgin Islands artist Adam O—whose roots include St. Croix and ties to the British Virgin Islands—has submitted his single “Feeling Nice” for Grammy consideration, with producer AJ Ventura and mixer/mastering engineer Parry Jack credited on the track. The submission seeks consideration in Best Global Music Performance, Song of the Year and Record of the Year; it is not a nomination.
In a Facebook post, Adam O, whose music spans genres including soca, kompa, zouk, Afro and R&B, wrote, “My first time … seeing my name next to the word GRAMMY … I’m just honored to be considered,” and thanked producer AJ Ventura “for … the production” and engineer Parry Jack “on the mix & master.” The post promoted the song’s entry “for your consideration.”
The Recording Academy’s process distinguishes between entries submitted “for your consideration” and official nominations announced after member voting; Adam O’s entry is at the consideration stage.
