Team Jazmin emerged as the top performers at the 2025 Summer Robotics Camp Exhibition and Showcase, an initiative hosted by the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports. The event was held at the Enis Adams Primary School Courtyard on 18 July, drawing participation from student teams across the territory.
The team secured first place ahead of fellow competitors Trojan Horse and Fried Chicken, following a series of robot performance challenges in a dynamic arena setting.
Team Jazmin comprised Arianna Tilack, Alwayne Flynch, Tishelle Phillips, Christine George, Magdiel Thomas, and Jazara Jules. Competing teams included Trojan Horse, whose members were Eleazar Brooks, Amarei Williams, Israel Profitt, and Ahmaya John, and Fried Chicken, represented by Kayden Nichol, Michaela Jack, Keyara Smith, and Zaveed Matthias.
The exhibition aimed to equip students with hands-on experience in programming and engineering problem-solving. Participants were tasked with responding to real-time scenarios that required them to adapt, recalibrate, and reprogramme their robots on the spot.
“This event provides our students with not just technical skills but the resilience and teamwork necessary in STEM fields,” said a representative from the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports. “What they learn here can serve as a foundation for future innovation.”
The Summer Robotics Camp is part of the Ministry’s broader push to strengthen science and technology education through practical, project-based learning opportunities.
