The Office of the Supervisor of Elections, operating under the Government of the Virgin Islands and the Office of the Deputy Governor, has announced upcoming voter registration and voter registration card drives to be held on the sister islands of Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda in July.
The first drive will take place on Thursday, July 18 at the District Office located at the Albert H. Chinnery Administration Building on Jost Van Dyke. Registration services will be offered from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The second drive is scheduled for Monday, July 21 on Virgin Gorda. It will be held at the Indoor Breezeway of the Vanterpool Administration Building. Registration will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
To be eligible for registration, individuals must be Belongers, at least 18 years of age, and domiciled in the Virgin Islands. Applicants are required to present a Virgin Islands Passport with an embossed seal, a Belonger Card, or a Belonger Certificate. A Naturalisation Certificate may also be accepted, provided the certificate is dated before June 15, 2007.
