All matters before the Magistrate’s Court on Tortola and Virgin Gorda will now be heard virtually via Zoom until further notice, the Office of the Deputy Governor announced on Oct. 29.
The change applies to all scheduled and future hearings as the court transitions to online proceedings. Officials said the move is intended to maintain continuity of judicial operations while ensuring accessibility for all parties involved.
Members of the public are advised to contact the Magistracy directly to obtain the appropriate Zoom link for their scheduled hearings. The Magistracy can be reached at 1-284-468-4360 or through the Government Customer Service Care Centre at 1-284-468-3701.
The Government of the Virgin Islands said it regrets any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for its cooperation as adjustments are made to court operations. Updates on the resumption of in-person hearings will be provided as they become available.
