Jaleel Croal of the British Virgin Islands won a silver medal in the men’s 200 meters at the Pan American Junior Games in Asuncion, Paraguay, on Thursday, stopping the clock at 20.39 seconds (+0.3). The medal marked Croal’s second of the competition, following his bronze in the 100 meters earlier in the week.
Croal, 19, had secured bronze in the men’s 100-meter final on Tuesday, Aug. 19, finishing in 10.16 seconds in cold and wet conditions. Davonte Howell of the Cayman Islands won gold in 9.98 seconds, while Ronal Longa of Colombia claimed silver in 10.09.
In Thursday’s 200-meter final, Wanyaé Belle of the British Virgin Islands also competed, finishing fifth in 20.84 seconds.
