Man Critically Injured in Fahie Hill Shooting—RVIPF Confirms Investigation Underway
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has confirmed a serious shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of Monday morning, November 3, along the Fahie Hill road on Tortola.
According to police, a male driver came under heavy gunfire while operating his vehicle and sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The RVIPF has since launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack. Forensic teams have processed the scene, and detectives are actively pursuing leads to identify the perpetrators. No arrests have been made at this time.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Fahie Hill area around the time of the shooting to contact the Criminal Investigations Department or call the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline.
Recent Surge in Gun Violence
The Fahie Hill shooting comes just days after another gun-related incident in Purcell Estate, where a man sustained serious injuries following a late-night attack on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Investigators recovered multiple spent shell casings at the scene and confirmed that the victim, believed to be of Spanish descent, was also taken to the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital, where he was treated for multiple gunshot wounds. It is not clear at this time if this victim remains under the care of the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital.
Authorities are probing possible links between that shooting and the recent escape of two inmates from His Majesty’s Prison, a development that has heightened public concern over safety in the territory.
Community Urged to Remain Vigilant
In light of these back-to-back incidents, police have increased patrols in key areas across Tortola and are appealing to the public for assistance.
“The cooperation of residents is critical at this time,” the RVIPF stated. “We are doing everything possible to bring those responsible to justice and ensure the safety of all communities within the Virgin Islands.”
The RVIPF continues to investigate these and other cases and has promised further updates as information becomes available.
