Chef Trevon Stoute Brings Award-Winning Cuisine to BVI’s Biggest Food, Wine & Rum Festival

Trevon Stoute, one of Barbados’s most acclaimed young chefs, will bring his award-winning Caribbean cuisine to the Rhythm + Sands Food, Wine & Rum Festival when it takes place  October 17–19 at Village Cay and Rhythm + Sands.

Stoute, a former Sous-Chef at The Cliff Beach Club and Executive Chef at Sweetfield Manor Boutique Hotel, is known for reimagining classic and international dishes with bold Caribbean flavours. He has represented Barbados at international culinary events, earned the title Barbados Chef of the Year, and won multiple medals at the Taste of the Caribbean competition.

The festival will unite culinary talent and cultural performers from across the region, with chefs, mixologists and food experts arriving from Trinidad, Jamaica, Guyana, St. Lucia, Barbados and the Virgin Islands. Organisers say the three-day programme will showcase the best of Caribbean food, drink and music.

Events begin Friday,  October 17, with tastings, gourmet bites and live entertainment. Saturday will feature cooking workshops, chef showcases, Caribbean jazz and the Junior Chef Battle, at Rhythm + Sands, culminating with the Fish Fête back at Village Cay. The festival concludes Sunday with a champagne brunch, a chef competition, fireworks and a cultural finale.

Organisers said the gathering aims to celebrate regional flavours while offering residents and visitors an immersive cultural experience.
