Governor Pruce returned to the British Virgin Islands on Thursday and held a briefing with the Department of Disaster Management and key response agencies to coordinate preparations ahead of Tropical Storm Erin, expected to pass through the territory this weekend.
Officials are advising residents and businesses to take necessary precautions as agencies work to prepare for strong winds and heavy rainfall. “We urge everyone to stay alert and ensure they are ready for the storm,” said a spokesperson from the BVI Department of Disaster Management.
The DDM recommends that residents download its mobile application and follow its WhatsApp channel for real-time updates and alerts. Officials continue to monitor the storm’s trajectory and will provide updates as conditions evolve.
