Gunfire was reported in Baugher’s Bay, Tortola, on the evening of Friday, Sept. 5, according to residents who said they heard between 6 and 8 shots shortly before 9 p.m.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has not yet confirmed whether an incident occurred or if there were any injuries. A JTV reporter contacted the police, but no details were immediately available.
Residents said the shots were heard around 8:51 p.m. in Baugher’s Bay and nearby areas. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force.
