Exness, a global multi-asset broker, has donated robotic kits to the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports in the Virgin Islands to support technology and engineering education, the company announced.
The handover took place in Road Town, Tortola, where representatives from Exness presented the kits to ministry officials and students from the territory’s Robotic Club. The initiative is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility program and is intended to help students develop skills in robotics, coding and engineering.
“We are proud to partner with the ministry on this venture,” said Jacob Wissum, director of Exness in the British Virgin Islands. “Investing in the future and empowering the next generation with STEM education is crucial. These robotic kits will provide students with hands-on experience, sparking curiosity and cultivating critical thinking skills essential for success.”
Education Minister Sharie B. de Castro thanked Exness for the contribution. “These robotic kits will allow our students to explore complex concepts in a fun and engaging way, inspiring them to pursue careers in science and technology,” she said. “We thank Exness for their commitment to education in the BVI.”
Each kit contains components, sensors and programming tools that allow students to build, program and operate robots.
Exness said the donation reflects its ongoing commitment to education and community development in the Virgin Islands.
