The streets of Road Town came alive as the 2025 Emancipation Festival Grand Parade delivered a full day of color, music, and high-energy performances. Thousands lined the route to cheer on the troupes, dancers, and floats — and now the results are officially in.
BVI Tribe stole the show in the Adult Troupe category, taking first place with dazzling costumes and unmatched energy. Treasures came in a strong second, while BVI Legacy rounded out the top three. Over in the Kids and Teen Troupe section, Treasures grabbed the top spot, with Dingolay earning second place.
The Ice Breakers were double winners — claiming first in Majorettes and dominating the Cheerleading (Pom Pom) competition. The BVI Dance School majorettes followed close behind in second.
For the Mocko Jumbies, BVI Optimum Sky Dancers stood tall at number one, while Paradise Sky Dancers came second. The Float category saw BVI Heritage Dancers take first, HLSCC in second, and VIP in third.
Individual creativity was also celebrated as Kazak walked away with the Best Individual Costume, while the Show Car title went to God Father, with Bull in second.
And no parade is complete without the music to match — this year’s Road March title went to Jougo’s smash hit “Swerve,” the song that had the entire parade route moving.
This year’s parade was more than a competition — it was a powerful showcase of Virgin Islands pride, bringing together performers of all ages and celebrating the culture that makes Emancipation Festival so special.
