Jaleel Croal of the British Virgin Islands captured the bronze medal in the men’s 100-meter final on Tuesday, August 19, at the Junior Pan American Games, finishing with a time of 10.16 seconds in cold and wet conditions.
Croal, 19, produced a strong start out of the blocks and maintained his form through the final stretch to earn the first medal for Team BVI at this year’s Games.
Davonte Howell of the Cayman Islands won the gold medal in 9.98 seconds, while Ronal Longa of Colombia claimed silver in 10.09.
