Kevin Fahie, General Manager of Caribbean Cellars in the British Virgin Islands, proudly represented the territory at the Caribbean–Canada Leaders Dialogue (CCLD) 2025, held in Grenada from May 22 to June 1. The high-level programme brought together emerging leaders from across the Caribbean and Canada for a 10-day leadership forum focused on collaboration, ethical governance, and impact-driven change.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences Canada and led by Princess Anne, serving as President, with prominent Canadian businessman Wes Hall as Chair. For Fahie, the experience was more than professional development—it was a transformative moment that, as he said, “broadened my perspective and connected me with remarkable individuals from around the world.”
“This experience has been nothing short of inspiring,” Fahie said in a Facebook post following the event. “Meeting and conversing with prominent figures like Wes Hall and Princess Anne was incredibly enriching. But it was my interactions with my esteemed colleagues from Canada and the Caribbean that left a lasting impact on me.”
Fahie formed close ties with fellow delegates during a series of leadership discussions and field visits, particularly within his Grenada tour group, which he described as “family.” The group engaged with public and private sector leaders, visited community projects, and explored the social and economic development challenges unique to small island states.
“The experiences and memories we created together are treasures that I will cherish forever,” Fahie added. “My gratitude to the CCLD for providing this amazing opportunity is boundless.”
The Caribbean–Canada Leaders Dialogue aims to strengthen regional leadership capacity by uniting professionals from diverse fields who are committed to building more inclusive and sustainable communities. Fahie’s participation underscored the British Virgin Islands’ presence in this growing network of young changemakers working to shape the future of the region.
