The Water and Sewage Department announced that water service will be interrupted on Sunday, August. 17, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in multiple areas of Tortola, including Baughers Bay, Fish Bay, Kingston, Sophie Bay, Brandywine Bay, Paraquita Bay up to the vicinity of H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, Purcell Estate, Free Bottom, Road Town to Slaney, Horsepath, Long Bush, Lower Estate and Huntums Ghut.
The department said water is being rationed until the 7 Seas Water Plant returns to full operation and storage capacity is restored. Residents in affected areas were advised to fill and store water in advance.
Officials added that they regretted any inconvenience caused by the temporary outage.
