Generator Issues Persist on Jost Van Dyke, Diagnostic Testing Underway

A team of experts from the BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) traveled to Jost Van Dyke to investigate the ongoing generator failure that has left the island in darkness. However, upon arrival, they discovered that the issues with the generator were more complex than initially anticipated. Further troubleshooting and diagnostic testing are now required to determine the root cause of the failure.
As a result, there is currently very little that the team can do until the diagnostic testing is completed.
The BVIEC, fully aware of the urgency and the impact this power outage has on the community, is working tirelessly to expedite the troubleshooting process. They understand the inconvenience caused by the prolonged outage and are committed to restoring power to Jost Van Dyke as soon as possible.
In the midst of these challenges, the BVIEC would like to extend itssincere apologies to the community for the inconvenience caused by the prolonged power outage.
The BVIEC will continue to provide regular updates to keep the public informed about the progress of the diagnostic testing and restoration efforts. They encourage residents to stay connected through local news channels and official BVIEC communication channels for the latest information.
