BVI All-Stars Reign Supreme as Kings and Queens of the Virgin Islands Softball Tournament
The highly anticipated Kings and Queens of the Virgin Islands Softball Tournament made its triumphant return to the British Virgin Islands after a six-year hiatus. Softball enthusiasts were treated to an entire weekend of exhilarating competition from July 7th to 9th, 2023, at the E. Walwyn Brewley Ballpark.
This year’s tournament showcased the talents of both male and female fastpitch teams hailing from St Thomas, USVI, St Croix, USVI, and the BVI. The battle for softball supremacy was fierce, with teams leaving no stone unturned in their quest for victory.
In the Men’s Division, the final standings were as follows:
1st Place – BVI All-Stars: Retaining the trophy for the second consecutive time, the BVI All-Stars showcased their unwavering dominance in the sport.
2nd Place – Los Llacos (STX): Putting up a valiant fight, Los Llacos secured an impressive second-place finish.
3rd Place – Los Domis (BVI): Showing their prowess on the field, Los Domis claimed the well-deserved third-place spot.
4th Place – Griffith Park Massive (STT): Despite their efforts, Griffith Park Massive landed in fourth place but left a lasting impression with their skills.
The tournament not only provided a platform for fierce competition but also fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participating teams. Softball fans and players alike eagerly await the next edition of this thrilling tournament, where new champions may rise and existing ones will be challenged.

Tarik Aaron Arrested on USVI Extradition Warrant
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has confirmed that Tarik Aaron was arrested shortly before midnight on Friday, April 17, on extradition orders issued by authorities in the United States Virgin Islands, and has since appeared before the Magistrate’s Court.
According to police, the arrest was carried out in connection with a request from USVI authorities, though further details have not been disclosed.

Civil Registry Announces Increase in U.K. Passport Fees Effective April 8
The Civil Registry and Passport Office has announced an increase in fees for United Kingdom passports, effective April 8, 2026.
According to the office, the revised fees apply to new, renewal and replacement passport applications, as well as other related services.
Under the new structure, the cost for a new, renewal or replacement adult passport has been set at £116.50, while the fee for a child passport is £75.50. Adult frequent traveller passports will cost £130.50, and child frequent traveller passports £89.50.
The fee for changes to an existing passport will also be £116.50. In addition, a delivery fee of £14.32 will apply.
The Civil Registry and Passport Office advised that the updated fees are now in effect and apply to all relevant applications submitted on or after April 8.
