Melvin Mitch Turnbull has been elected Deputy Chairman of the National Democratic Party (NDP), while Marlon A. Penn secured the position of Chairman during the party’s National Convention held on April 18.
Turnbull won the Deputy Chairman race against Myron V. Walwyn, emerging with the support of party delegates in one of the key contests of the convention.
Penn, meanwhile, secured the chairmanship in a contested race against Mark H. Vanterpool and Ronnie W. Skelton, solidifying his leadership of the party.
Paul Hewlett was confirmed as President after running unopposed, while the race for Vice President remains outstanding between Troy Christopher and Andrea Walters.
The convention brought together delegates and supporters as the party finalized its leadership team ahead of upcoming political activities.
