East Winds Take Top Spot in BVIFA Under-14 Youth League After Week 3

East Winds moved to the top of the British Virgin Islands Football Association’s Under-14 Youth League standings after a 4-2 victory over South Breeze in Week 3, while West Tides earned a 2-1 win over North Shores.

The results left East Winds and South Breeze level on six points after three matches, but East Winds took first place on goal difference, with a plus-eight margin compared with South Breeze’s even goal difference. North Shores and West Tides each have three points.

Latwahn Stevens scored twice for East Winds, and Charlie Sanders and George Hollingworth added one goal each. South Breeze received goals from Jezaan Demming and Christian Campbell. Kajon Caines of East Winds and Campbell of South Breeze were named the match’s most valuable players.

In the second match, O’keil McKennon scored both goals for West Tides in its victory over North Shores. Julian Johnson scored North Shores’ only goal. Johnson and McKennon were selected as the game’s most valuable players.

George Hollingworth of East Winds and Latwahn Stevens lead the league scoring race with four goals each. Demming, Johnson and McKennon are tied for second with three goals apiece.

McKennon also leads the league’s MVP standings with two awards. Ioan Jones, J’Moi Scatliffe, Charlie Sanders, Trevoa Stevens, Demming, Saxton Stoutt, Hollingworth, Caines, Johnson and Campbell have each received one MVP selection.
