The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has recovered a vehicle matching the description of one believed to have been used by suspects involved in an armed robbery at a business in Tortola Pier Park on May 20, as investigators continue to pursue several leads in the case.

In an update issued Wednesday, police said the vehicle was recovered as part of the ongoing investigation into the robbery, which occurred at a popular jewelry store in the capital.

“The RVIPF has recovered a vehicle similar to the one believed to have been used in the armed robbery that occurred on 20th May 2026,” the force said in a statement.

The robbery unfolded when masked men, reportedly armed with firearms, entered the establishment and stole jewelry before fleeing the scene in a vehicle, according to preliminary police reports.

Police said shots were fired during the incident, but no injuries were reported.

Officers responded to the scene shortly after the robbery and launched an investigation. Detectives have since been reviewing evidence and following multiple lines of inquiry aimed at identifying and locating those responsible.
