Hodge Makes Olympic History, Secures Spot in 200m Semi-finals

Adaejah Hodge has made history as the first athlete from the British Virgin Islands to advance to the 200m semi-finals at the Olympics.

Hodge clocked a time of 22.94 seconds early this morning, 5 August, in the women’s 200m repechage round, successfully securing her spot in the semi-finals.

Competing in Heat 1, Hodge delivered a strong performance, finishing in second place ranking her fourth overall among all competitors in the repechage round.

Hodge’s historic performance will see her take to the track for the semi-finals later today at 2:45 p.m.
