Stolen Wrangler Found Flipped on Virgin Gorda
A Jeep Wrangler, entrusted to a local workshop for repairs on Virgin Gorda, was stolen in the dead of night, only to be discovered the next morning, mangled and overturned on the island’s rugged terrain.
The victim, a member of the tight-knit community, Ms. Candice Hopkins-Nolan, took to social media to share her family’s ordeal. With a mix of frustration and concern, she recounted the event, urging the perpetrator to come forward and take responsibility for their actions.
“It’s not just about the loss of property,” Ms. Hopkins-Nolan expressed, “It’s about the recklessness that endangered lives, including the thief’s own.”
Hopkins-Nolan shared that the stolen vehicle which became a deadly projectile in the hands of the thief, was at a mechanic shop as it had steering issue.
“I bet you got the shock of your life last night/this morning when you lost steering capabilities in our Jeep Wrangler, drove up the side of the mountain and flipped. There was a reason it was at a mechanics shop…having steering issues was it?” She states.
She added, “I genuinely hope that you are ok and not seriously injured after selfishly stealing and flipping our Jeep on the VG mountain.”
In a heartfelt plea to the community, Ms. Hopkins-Nolan appealed for any information that could lead to the apprehension of the culprit. “This isn’t just about justice for us; it’s about preventing further harm to others,” she emphasized.
A lone black Croc was discovered amidst the wreckage.
