Major Cocaine Seizure at Sea in Joint Operation with RVIPF and US Customs Border Control

A collaborative effort between the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force and US Customs Border Control on Tuesday, March 5, after 8 pm led to the interception of a Go-Fast vessel just off Hodges Creek, Tortola and largest sea seizure to date

The operation uncovered sixty bales of cocaine and various other items on the intercepted vessel. Despite the occupants fleeing on foot and evading capture, the Go-Fast vessel is now securely held by the police, with investigations ongoing.

Commissioner of Police Mark Collins highlighted the operation’s significance, calling it a commendable joint effort that underscores the commitment to combat illicit activities in the region.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force urges the public to come forward with any information related to the incident. Confidential tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 800-8477 (TIPS) or overseas at 1-284-800-8477, or directly to the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339. Every detail, no matter how small, could be pivotal in advancing the investigation.
