Firearms, Ammunition, and Drugs Seized in Police Operation in Purcell Estate

In a planned operation conducted by Officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) on Friday, March 1, significant contraband was uncovered in the vicinity of the basketball court in Purcell Estate.

During the search, law enforcement officials discovered two firearms, along with several rounds of ammunition. Additionally, a substantial quantity of marijuana and crack cocaine was also seized.

As a result of these findings, four individuals were taken into custody for questioning regarding their involvement with the confiscated items.

The RVIPF is urging individuals with knowledge of others in possession of illegal firearms to come forward with information. They can do so confidentially by contacting the Crime Stoppers line at 800-8477 (TIPS) or, for overseas calls, at 1-284-800-8477. Alternatively, individuals can reach out to the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.
