New Online Talent Management System Revolutionises Public Service Job Applications

The Department of Human Resources has unveiled an innovative online talent management system aimed at streamlining the application process for positions within the Public Service.

Replacing the former job board on the Government website, this new platform marks a digital shift, rendering paper applications obsolete.

All aspiring candidates must now utilise this system to submit their applications, which includes completing the employment application and uploading necessary documents. Moreover, applicants can now conveniently track their application status and receive automated updates and interview invitations.

Accessing the system is simple: applicants can navigate to the Government’s website (bvi.gov.vg), click on the “JOBS” tab, and choose the relevant “Apply Here” option for either Public Service or Statutory Body vacancies.

Mrs. Sharleen Dabreo-Lettsome, MBE, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Deputy Governor, emphasised the significance of this system launch, highlighting its role in the Department’s broader vision for Human Resources Management within the Public Service.

This digital transformation aligns with the goals of the Public Service Transformation Programme, prioritising accessibility, sustainability, and efficiency. Mrs. Kishann Cupid-Braithwaite, Public Service Transformation Manager, underscored the program’s commitment to creating user-friendly systems that benefit both applicants and the Territory as a whole.

Central to the new talent management system is its commitment to keeping applicants engaged and informed at every stage of the application process. As the Department modernises its communication channels and onboarding procedures, it aims to expedite the transition from application to employment for successful candidates.
