Illegal Immigrants Discovered on Cooper Island

In a joint operation between Royal Virgin Islands Police Force Officers and US Customs and Border Control, authorities intercepted a vessel suspected of transporting illegal immigrants just off the shores of Cooper Island late Wednesday night.

The vessel ran aground on Cooper Island, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. Upon inspection, 25 adults and children were found aboard. Subsequent searches conducted during daylight hours revealed an additional 10 individuals scattered around the island.

The apprehended illegal immigrants have been turned over to the Immigration Department for processing. However, the whereabouts of the vessel’s captain remain unknown, adding a layer of mystery to the unfolding situation.

Authorities assure the public that investigations are underway to determine the full scope of the incident and to ascertain the identities of all involved parties.
