Miss St. Lucia Marissa Smartt wins Miss OECS Caribbean Pageant

Miss British Virgin Islands, Anika Christopher, made her debut at the Regional Pageant, Miss OECS Caribbean Pageant, held last night, January 12, in Dominica. The evening, held under the theme “Island Elegance: Beauty Beyond Boundaries,” saw contestants from across the Caribbean vie for the coveted crown.

The spotlight, however, was on 24-year-old Marissa Smartt, representing Miss St. Lucia, who, after several rounds of fierce competition, emerged triumphant as the winner, capturing the hearts of the audience.

The new queen also secured victories in multiple categories, including Best Promotional Video, Best Creative National Wear, Best in Swimwear, Best Swimwear, and Best in Evening Wear.

The first runner-up title went to Miss Dominica, Adicia Burton; meanwhile, the second runner-up position was claimed by Miss Antigua and Barbuda, Thyana Kai Sebastian. Miss Grenada, Amonai Francis, and Miss BVI did not place.

Among the notable winners in other categories were:

  • Miss Amenity: Miss Grenada, Amonai Francis
  • Best Creative National Wear: Miss Dominica, Adicia Burton
  • Best Talent: Miss Antigua and Barbuda, Thyana Kai Sebastian
  • Best Evening Wear: Miss Dominica
  • Best Response: Miss Dominica
