Andy Bickerton Resigns as BVIFA President

Andrew Bickerton, the long-standing President of the British Virgin Islands Football Association, has announced his resignation, effective 30 November 2023.

The seasoned sports administrator cited personal and family matters as the driving force behind this decision, expressing his inability to continue dedicating the required time and energy to the prestigious position.

Bickerton, who has been at the helm of the association for 12 years, leaves behind a legacy marked by progress and success. His tenure witnessed significant developments in the football landscape of the British Virgin Islands.

Bickerton in his letter dated 23 November address to the General Secretary of the Association, Juliana Luke, expressed gratitude to both current and former colleagues, acknowledging their unwavering support and camaraderie throughout his tenure.

“I would like to thank my present and past colleagues for their support and friendship over the past 12 years and wish the British Virgin Islands Football Association continued progress and success in the future,” stated Bickerton in his resignation letter.
