Miss BVI Universe Ashellica Fahie Encouraged To Embrace Her Experiences In El Salvador
Miss British Virgin Islands Universe Ashellica Fahie shared that the Miss Universe President Paula Shugart has offered valuable advice to guide her on her journey at the 72nd Miss Universe Pageant in enchanting El Salvador in South America.
During her recent live video interview on the pageant’s official social media page, Fahie said that Shugart advised contestants that “it’s all about the experience, the people you meet on this path, and the journey to the pinnacle. While there can only be one winner, the lessons learned and the connections made are truly priceless.”
Ninety Miss Universe delegates are vying for the prestigious crown.
Fahie shared her awe-inspiring experience and the profound insights gained behind the scenes so far.
“Miss Universe, or any pageant for that matter, isn’t just about beauty. It’s about our mental health, personal growth, and becoming better ambassadors for our territories or countries.”
The Miss Universe platform, according to Fahie, provides a unique space for contestants to express their true feelings without judgement, acknowledging the emotional toll that the pageant journey can take.
The British Virgin Islands beauty highlighted the importance of mental health, expressing gratitude for the supportive environment provided by the Miss Universe organisation.
“It’s okay to fall down, but what matters is how you get back up,” Fahie stated.
Given the cooperative and family-like atmosphere of the pageant, she encouraged contestants to allow their support teams to share in their emotions.
Underlining her dedication to the mental health cause, Fahie conveyed her deep appreciation to the supporters in her region for their heartfelt love and steadfast support.
“Even though we are small, we’re heavy on our love, support, and encouragement,” she said, emphasising the impact a united community can make.
The local queen is determined to use her voice and platform for positive change.
She urged everyone to stand for what they believe in and let their actions speak for them, stating, “Use your voice for whatever you are passionate about. Stand on it, and you will become a force to be reckoned with.”
In the video’s closing moments, Fahie delivered words of inspiration to the viewers, urging them to consistently embrace their true selves and persevere in their pursuit of dreams.
Contestants from diverse corners of the world are savouring the sights and cultural experiences of El Salvador.
Additionally, she is utilising this global stage to introduce her fellow contestants to the cultural heritage and traditions of her homeland.
On November 18 reigning queen R’Bonney Gabriel will crown her successor.
