Second Person Confirmed Injured in Fish Bay Shooting
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) have confirmed that a second person was injured in tonight’s shooting incident at the DHL office in Fish Bay, Tortola.
The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time,
The incident took place at around 7 p.m. “officers are on the scene and investigations are active.”
Eyewitnesses at the scene reported hearing a rapid succession of gunfire, estimating that over a dozen shots were fired. The sound of gunshots caused panic among the persons in businesses in the Complex, with individuals dashing for cover seeking cover to protect themselves from potential harm.
The Dr. Orlando Smith Hospital has been reportedly closed to ensure the safety of the wounded individuals and staff.
