The Civil Registry and Passport Office has announced that they are now able to resume issuing Belonger Cards to eligible individuals.

The interruption in card issuance was caused by a system issue, which has since been diagnosed and resolved by the Department of Information Technology.

Registrar General, Mrs. Tashi O’Flaherty-Maduro, expressed her satisfaction with the resumption of services, stating, “We are pleased to announce that we can now provide a full range of services once again. Thanks to the efforts of the Department of Information Technology, we can now resume processing and printing Belonger Cards for individuals who are deemed to belong to the Virgin Islands. We would like to thank the public for their patience and apologize for any inconvenience caused by this interruption.”

Individuals who are in need of renewing or applying for a new Belonger Card can contact the department to secure an appointment. They can reach out by calling 468-3035 or by sending an email to infocris@gov.vg.
