Suspects Evade Police After Discarding Firearms Near His Majesty’s Prison
Officers from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, conducting routine patrols in the Lambert Estate area, recently encountered a group of three males wearing hoodies who were behaving suspiciously and heading towards His Majesty’s Prison.
Upon spotting the officers, the men immediately fled on foot, leading to a pursuit. Unfortunately, the suspects managed to evade capture.
During the chase, one of the suspects discarded a bag, which was later recovered by the police. Inside the bag, authorities found three firearms, including one semi-automatic weapon and two pistols. This discovery adds to the total number of firearms seized in September, bringing it to a total of five.
The police force remains steadfast in its commitment to removing illegal firearms from the streets and apprehending individuals found in possession of such weapons.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is urging anyone with information about the possible identity of these three males to come forward and contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339. All information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
As the investigation progresses, further updates will be provided to the public.
