Aircraft Crash Land on Auguste George Airport Anegada

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) are investigating the early Wedneday morning unauthorised landing of an aircraft at the Auguste George on Anegada.

The plane, which landed on September 20 at around 3:30 a.m, was engulfed by a fire of unknown origin.

“Shortly after landing, a fire of unknown origin engulfed the aircraft. The blaze was extinguished by (Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service) fire officers who are based at the airport,” a RVIPF statement said.

RVIPF added that the “investigation is active, therefore, no further information can be provided at this time.”
