Eight Charges For 17-year-old, Including Unlawful Possession Of A Controlled Drug

A 17-year-old Free Bottom, Tortola, resident will have to answer to eight charges, including unlawful possession of a controlled drug and driving without a driver’s licence, when he appeared in Magistrate’s Court on October 19.

A Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) September 4 press bulletin said the teenager was arrested on September 6 at around 7:30 p.m. and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled drug, failure to stop at the sound of the siren, driving without a driver’s license, driving an unlicensed vehicle, driving when not covered by a policy of insurance, driving without a crash helmet, driving without front and rear identification plates and using an unlicensed vehicle.

He was granted station bail in the sum of $5,000.
