Hurdler Kyron McMaster will compete in today’s final of the 400m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

The race is scheduled for 3:50 p.m. local time. McMaster will run in lane 8 having clocked 47.72 seconds to win his semi-final heat on August 22.

“It’s always a pleasure to rep my country. We come from a small island of 30,000 people,” he shared earlier this week. “The stadium here has more people than on my island.”

The track star is a two-time Commonwealth Gold medalist and two-time World Championships finalist with a personal best and seasonal best of of 47.08 and 47.26, in that order.

McMaster, who also holds the BVI’s national record in that event, is one to watch on the track at the World Athletics Championships.

The World Athletics Championships kicked on August 19  and will conclude on August 27.
