JTV has received reports stating that several homes on the island of Anegada, were subjected to searches by members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) early this morning.  According to our sources, at least one resident has been taken into custody as a result of these searches.

At present, it remains unclear whether this operation is linked to the recent drug bust on the island, where authorities apprehended an aircraft containing a substantial quantity of suspected cocaine. The connection between these two events is yet to be established.

As of press time, the police officers involved in the search operation have departed from Anegada and returned to Tortola, the main island of the Virgin Islands. Further details regarding the nature and purpose of the searches are expected to emerge in due course.

JTV will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as more information becomes available.
