The Ralph T. O’Neal Administration Complex windows, doors and frames which were badly damaged during the 2017 Hurricane Irma have all been replaced by DesignBVI Limited.

A government team, including Chief of Infrastructure, Planning, and Research Development Duane Fraites and Senior Project Coordinator Elton Smith along with Senior Project Manager for JOMA Projects Jonathan Baptiste, visited the Road Town, Tortola building on August 22 to conduct a final assessment of the windows.

DesignBVI Limited, a subsidiary of JOMA Projects, was awarded the contract for the procurement and installation of windows, doors, and frames in 2020.

The final assessment by the team was to ensure that the work was completed to the highest standards specified in the contract.

The successful installation marks a significant milestone in the ongoing development of the Administrative  Complex.

The British Virgin Islands recorded millions of dollars in damage following Hurricane Irma which was the first cyclone of the 2017 Atlantic hurricane season to reach category 5 intensity.

This intensity was held for a record-breaking 13 days from August 30 to September 12, sweeping across the Caribbean causing significant damage to public and private structures.
