Relatives of Sea Cows Bay Accident Victim Asking For Public Assistance For Overseas Medical Care

The relatives of Ganesh Persaud Ramdatt who was badly injured in a Tortola car accident this month are asking the public for financial assistance for him to receive much needed medical care in Florida, United States.

The 33-year-old Guyanese, his two brothers, sister-in-law and her brother was involved in a serious car accident on Sunday, July 9, in Sea Cows Bay on Tortola.

He suffered a broken neck – C5 fracture, dislocation and traumatic spondylolisthesis.

He has been accepted by Broward Health Medical in Florida for surgery and medical care.

His family explained that the injured man requires an air ambulance to be transported to the Florida facility.

“The cost of the REVA Air Ambulance is $32,000.00. NHI (the Local Health Insurance) will cover $16,000.00 therefore he is (in) need of $14,000.00 for the medical evacuation,” the GoFundMe page shared, while asking the public to make a donation.
