Ethan Mohamed and Delilah Pease have made history for the British Virgin Islands by securing the territory’s first silver medals at the Junior Caribbean Champs since 2009. The young squash players displayed exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament, leaving their coach, Adam Murrills, immensely proud.

In the Girls’ Under 11 Final, Delilah faced off against the number one seed, Gia Ghuran of Trinidad and Tobago. Despite Delilah’s valiant efforts and impressive performance, Gia proved to be slightly superior, winning the match 3-0. Delilah, only 8 years old, showcased incredible talent and will have two more years to strive for the championship title.

In the Boys’ Under 11 Final, Ethan took on the formidable Ben Shepherd from Barbados. Although Ethan displayed flashes of brilliance, Ben’s consistency ultimately secured him a 3-0 victory. However, Ethan’s coach believes that with a positive mindset and continued dedication, he has the potential to overcome this result in the future.

Both Ethan and Delilah’s achievements mark a significant milestone for the BVI, and their success is a testament to their hard work and talent. As they continue to improve and aim for further honors, the future looks bright for these promising young squash players.
