Police Successfully Disrupt Illegal Activities During Island-Wide Weekend Operation
Police Seize Eight Scooters and Make Five Arrests in Crackdown on Offences
An island-wide roll and search operation, conducted over the weekend, proved to be a success in disrupting illegal activities in known hotspots.
The operation, carried out by the Armed Response Team and the Road Policing Unit, resulted in several arrests and the seizure of a quantity of cannabis.
The operation, which concluded at approximately 4 am on Sunday morning, involved searches of just over 30 individuals. In addition to the arrests made, eight scooters were seized as evidence.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is committed to conducting similar operations in the coming months to maintain law and order in the territory.
Acting Chief Inspector of the Operations Division, Dean Robin, expressed his gratitude for the support and appreciation shown by community members during the operations. He commended the officers for their dedication and commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
