The Virgin Islands experienced a significant seismic event today as a powerful 6.6 magnitude earthquake shook the region.
The quake, which occurred at approximately 4:28 pm, rattled the islands and sent shockwaves through the area.
According to the Puerto Rico Seismic Network, the earthquake’s epicenter was located at Latitude: 20.1 North and Length: 61.1 West, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
The maximum estimated intensity was classified as V, indicating a strong tremor that could potentially cause moderate damage.
