Tradewind Aviation To Fly From Puerto Rico To Virgin Gorda From November 16
Tradewind Aviation, the leading luxury airline in the Caribbean, is set to launch a new nonstop service between San Juan and Virgin Gorda on November 16.
The Puerto Rico to British Virgin Islands flight is the latest addition for the airline which is currently servicing several Caribbean destinations, including St Barth, Nevis and Anguilla.
This is another major step for the territory’s tourism sector which continues to recover following the covid-19 pandemic.
An estimated 703,000 visitors are expected in 2023, of which about 292,000, would be overnight visitors, according to government predictions.
Tradewind Aviation will be operating multiple round-trip flights from the Taddy Bay Airport in Virgin Gorda on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with additional flights during holiday periods.
The announcement comes just a week after American Airlines successfully launched its nonstop service between Miami and the territory.
Some 2,128 passengers are expected to fly monthly from Miami International Airport to the Terrance B Lettsome International Airport with American Airlines.
