Jeff Miller will this month swim the 15.5-mile stretch of water between the British Virgin Islands and neighbouring United States Virgin Islands to raise awareness and cash for Team River Runner and the St. John Cancer Fund.

The St John’s resident will swim the Sir Francis Drake Channel, leaving Virgin Gorda at daybreak and swimming to the eastern tip of St. John.

Miller, who has been training over the last five months, is expected to complete the feat between eight and 12 hours.

This will not be his first open sea challenge. Miller holds the record for being the first person to swim around St. John, covering just under 23 miles in 12 hours in 2016.

Miller has not announced a date for the USVI and BVI charity swim.
