Local Attorney-at-law Daniel Fligelstone Davis has joined the 2023 election race as an independent at-large candidate.

He announced his campaign on social media under the theme For a Better Tomorrow.

“It appears that I must enter the race at large in order to fight to “Stop da Frig”. My platform will focus largely on fighting for justice (such as the implementation of a legal aid clinic), lowering the cost of doing business, strengthening and diversifying the economy and of course, increasing wages.”

Davis is the managing partner of Silk Legal (BVI) Inc. He represented the British Virgin Islands House of Assembly members during the Commission of Inquiry in 2021.

Davies campaign promotional material states that he is “professional, knowledgeable and efficient.”

His focus is on a stronger economy, better infrastructure, transparency, justice and human rights and better opportunities for the youth.

He goes up against at-large candidates zoe J. Walcott, Hon. Carvin Malone, Hon Sharie B. de Castro and Hon Neville Smith from Virgin Islands Party (VIP); Dr. Kedrick D. Pickering, Lorna G. Smith, Allen O’Neal and Reynard Estridge of the National Democratic Party, Ronnie W. Skelton, Shaina Smith-Archer, Stacy Mather and Ingrid Scatliffe-Moses of PVIM and independent at large candidates Lesmore Smith and Rosita Scatliffe-Thompson.

Election day is April 24th, 2023.
