— Greg Best, who is no stranger to culinary management in the British Virgin Islands, has been appointed executive chef of private-island getaway Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina.

Best was most recently chef de cuisine at Rosewood Little Dix Bay in Virgin Gorda, according to a press release. He also served in similar positions at resorts in the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos.

At Scrub Island, Chef Best will oversee operations, menu development and direct events, the release said.

Commenting on his appointment, General Manager Michael Schoonewagen, was quoted in the release as saying: “With his exceptional track record leading kitchens throughout the Caribbean, I’m confident Chef Best will build on our stellar reputation, taking our culinary team to even higher levels for our guests.”

The release further stated that Chef Best received his culinary training in the West Indies and has nearly two decades of culinary leadership experience.
