Premier Hon. Dr. Natalio D. Wheatley will be away from the Territory from February 14 to February 23 for a series of high-level meetings with key stakeholders in Asia, focusing on strengthening the Virgin Islands’ financial services sector.
The meetings, scheduled between February 16 and 21, will take place in major financial hubs, including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Macau, and Malaysia. This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to expand strategic partnerships in the Asia-Pacific region, a significant contributor to global finance and investment.
“As the Asia-Pacific region continues to grow as a powerhouse in global finance, it is essential for us to strengthen our partnerships and engage in meaningful dialogue with industry leaders,” Premier Wheatley stated. “These efforts will foster long-term economic growth and ensure that the Virgin Islands remains competitive and resilient in an ever-evolving global market.”
