Malia Choucoutou, a Middle Years Programme 5 (MYP5) student at Cedar International School, has been selected to represent the British Virgin Islands at the upcoming United Kingdom Overseas Territories Association (UKOTA) Youth Summit in London. The event is scheduled to take place at the end of February.

This year’s summit will focus on the theme “Diversity and Inclusivity in the Overseas Territories,” bringing together young leaders from across the territories to discuss key issues. Participants will engage in discussions aimed at addressing challenges and opportunities related to diversity and inclusion in their communities.

The UKOTA Youth Summit provides a platform for students to exchange perspectives and collaborate on topics affecting the Overseas Territories. Malia’s selection aligns with the BVI’s ongoing participation in international youth initiatives.

Cedar International School announced her selection, stating, “We are sure she will do a fantastic job and will represent the BVI with distinction!”

Malia will join other delegates in London for the event, where they will contribute to discussions on the summit’s theme alongside representatives from other British Overseas Territories.
